Period of Time to Receive a Car Title

Vineta bought a used car from a used car dealership in August, but she has still not received the title. Without the title, she can not register the car. The dealership tells her there is a hold up in the offices in Atlanta.

(it has been just over two months)

She is advised to give the dealership a couple of more weeks. But, three months is near the outside limit of the time frame expected on a used car title. If the dealership does not give her the title within two-three weeks time, she should see an attorney about getting a refund or other penalties that might motivate the dealership into action.
