Michael G. Horner

MICHAEL G. HORNER grew up on Signal Mountain, a suburb of Chattanooga, Tennessee. He attended Vanderbilt University, where he graduated magna cum laude in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, Minor in Russian. Mike then attended Tulane Law School.

After passing the Louisiana bar exam, Mike worked for McGlinchey Stafford in New Orleans, Louisiana in the commercial litigation department, focusing on representing consumer finance companies, and others, in class action cases, as well as representing automobile manufacturers in disputes with their dealerships.

Mike then moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where he worked for the law firm of Snell & Wilmer, focusing on bankruptcy, and representing numerous commercial lenders as bankruptcy creditors, as well as a large federal government contractor in a Chapter 11 reorganization. Mike next worked for Prime Insurance, also in Salt Lake City, where he was employed as an in-house attorney and claims adjuster. While at Prime Insurance, Mike helped resolve claims for numerous businesses throughout the country, including bars in East St. Louis, amusement parks, inflatable rental companies, and others.

In 2001, Mike moved to Macon, Georgia where he began practicing law with Reynolds, Horne & Survant. After a 10-year stint at Reynolds, Horne & Survant, Mike left to pursue other interests, including acting as Executive Director for Middle Georgia Justice, a non-profit provider of legal services in Macon. Mike’s heart eventually turned back “home,” and he rejoined the law firm of Reynolds, Horne & Survant in April of 2022. At Reynolds, Horne & Survant, Mike’s practice includes representing people injured in car wrecks, as well as those injured through the negligent maintenance and/or design of businesses. Mike also assists with legal research and brief writing in medical malpractice cases.

Mike lives in downtown Macon with his dog, Kirby, and, for now, with his college-bound daughter, Hadley. In his free time Mike enjoys live music, travelling the world, learning new languages, and playing the drums.
