Michael G. Horner

MICHAEL G. HORNER grew up on Signal Mountain, a suburb of Chattanooga, Tennessee. He graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and a minor in Russian. Mike then attended Tulane Law School, where he graduated magna cum laude in 1999.
After passing the Louisiana bar exam, Mike worked for McGlinchey Stafford in New Orleans. Mike then moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where he worked for the law firm of Snell & Wilmer, focusing on bankruptcy and commercial disputes. Mike next worked for Prime Insurance, also in Salt Lake City, where he was employed as an in-house attorney and claims consultant. While at Prime Insurance, Mike helped resolve complex claims for numerous small businesses throughout the country.
In 2001, Mike moved to Macon, Georgia where he began practicing law with Reynolds, Horne & Survant. After a 10-year stint at Reynolds, Horne & Survant, Mike left to pursue other interests, including acting as Executive Director for Middle Georgia Justice, a non-profit provider of legal services in Macon. Mike’s heart eventually turned back “home,” and he rejoined the law firm of Reynolds, Horne & Survant in April of 2022. At Reynolds, Horne & Survant, Mike’s practice includes representing people injured in car wrecks, as well as those injured through the negligent maintenance and/or design of businesses. Mike also assists with legal research and brief writing in medical malpractice cases.
Mike lives in Macon with his wife, Monica Baird, and his two dogs Lucky and Rudy. His only child, Hadley, is a student at the University of California in Berkeley. In his free time Mike enjoys live music, travelling the world, learning new languages, and playing the drums.
